Since opening our little yellow door in 2015 coffee has been at the heart of everything we do. We are a multi-roaster cafe and have proudly worked with over 30 local and international coffee roasters who exemplify ethical business practice. Our house roasters utilise direct trade, a practice by which they pay above and beyond market value to both individual and collective farmers throughout the world. This ensures fair compensation for growers who apply environmentally and socially conscious growing methods. Our house roasters Coffee Collective have been supplying us since the very beginning.
We are passionate about simple, functional, everyday design and work with producers whose ethics, transparency and focus on quality continue to impress us and align with our own ethos. We work with designers, makers and ateliers from all over the world to bring their unique style and products to the west of Ireland. We believe the future of good business lies in conscientious trade with an adherence to social and environmental awareness.
Artwerk Press is a small art publishing house that operates out of Coffeewerk + Press. We produce and curate work from local and international artists who inspire us. The Year opens with Imbolc (February-April). There are themes of Hope and Optimism within this time of contemplation.
